Family Court Theater

The first time I refused anything and held my ground, my Ex said we were done. It was the fifth break up. I had become accustomed to being discarded.

This time I said, “Okay,” and meant it. I thought divorce would be straightforward. It’s a math problem.

We have been in family court now for over six years. I have been depleted financially, psychologically, and emotionally, and no longer have custody of my son.

Family law professionals are more loyal to each other than they are to their clients and the law. They are taking what belongs to me, feeding the conflict, and serving my Ex’s agenda. There is a lot of theater while the real deal making occurs away from me behind the scenes.

I wish I knew back then what I know now. Women need to be informed.
