Crystal was last seen alive on June 10, 2024. The devoted mother of 5 is now presumed dead and her estranged husband has been arrested for identity theft after using her credit card after her disappearance, spending $6,500 on a suspicious amount of cleaning supplies that included stain remover, liquid drain opener, chemical-resistant gloves, a vacuum, air fresheners, wipes and carpet cleaner.
Crystal’s journey in family court with her husband began in 2010, where they had a three-year paternity case. She was subject to ongoing domestic abuse and filed charges in 2015, 2018 and 2023. In August 2018, Crystal filed for divorce and a GAL was assigned to the children requesting for sole custody of the children. When a restraining order was violated in November 2018, the Judge slapped his hand with a $200 fine + costs. He was arrested in January 2019 for again violating a restraining order, but this time he owed nothing and it was ruled as “an unclassified misdemeanor.”
A child support case was opened in 2021 as he sought to modify the original order. Their divorce case continued in September 2023 as Crystal petitioned to have sole use of the marital home and for her estranged husband to vacate. She also filed another restraining order.
This investigation is still ongoing and Crystal’s body has not been found. We were unable to attain who is caring for her 5 young children at this time.
Mr. Rasch has a long criminal background of over 40 charges but most notably, he was in family court with a former partner in a child support case from 2000-2023 (yes, 23 years.) With his long criminal history, unemployment, workmen’s comp claims and being in the same court system for over a decade, why didn’t these judges take the RO violations seriously? Did they not see that he was escalating his behaviors and connect the dots that Crystal was in danger? He has not been charged with Crystal’s murder.*
