I escaped my abusive husband after working with a Domestic Violence Advocate for months. I filed for a restraining order. 

Our hearings lasted for 2 years.  I had numerous photos and audio of the abuse. In the audio, he speaks of liking torture, planning sadistic acts, threatening to break my toes, you hear physical altercations. In the photos, you see scratches, bite marks, bruises, raised bumps, swollen lips, broken belongings. 

At the conclusion the Judge said I am not credible, claiming my stories are too bizarre. The judge ordered evaluations. I am deemed delusional with zero explanation.  

After two and a half years with sole custody, I lost custody and am ordered supervised visits.  It’s been one year, no-one will make a change until my abuser consents.  I’ve been supervised for 150 visits, 500 hours, and paid $35,000 to see my 7-year-old for eight supervised hours a week.
