Women's Credibility
Women face a huge credibility deficit in family court, simply because they are women. A mother from Maryland shares her story of how she was not believed.
****************
I am one of many women who have been unnaturally separated from our children so that our abuser can maintain control over us and continue his abuse.
I was the only caretaker for my child for the first two years of her life with no problems. I have been through family court for 5 years now and lost custody of my daughter.
Through 3 psychological evaluations (the first detrimental to me) the psychologist did not recognize how abuse victims present and would not allow anyone to see his tests stating he changed things in them, because he believed I was lying. It has been 5 years since this happened, and no one has seen them.
My Ex’s attorney’s, my Ex, and his family have lied in and out of court with no repercussions. Judges have told me that because I was crying while reading through years of abusive messages, I wasn’t believable.
Please help!
