When DCF and DV Agencies Set Traps
Mothers comply when they are told what they need to do to protect their children. What they don't tell them, is that it is a trap and it will be used against them by the agencies like DCF.

In 2015, my local DV agency told me I would be able to change my name and never see my abusive husband again based on the evidence I had—all I had to do was leave.
I hung on for two more years because I was too scared, until DCF told me that I would lose my kids and be charged with failure to protect if I didn’t comply with their investigation into my husband and leave for a shelter. So I trusted them and took the leap.
Today, almost ten years later, after he spent millions of collective assets and financially and emotionally destroyed me as promised, I have heard it all, including being told that I might lose my kids by that same DCF because “we” are high conflict parents. The irony. Failure to protect.
There is so much support for women in the home but once they get out, there is literally nothing. And we aren’t really out, are we? He won’t stop until I’m either dead or homeless without any access to my kids.
He promised he’d do this—I even have a recording of it—and he’s doing it.
