Tyeasha was shot and killed during a custody exchange when picking up her 1-year old son. She had been involved in a child custody dispute with her son’s father and grandparents. No-one has been charged yet for her death. Kayla leaves behind a young toddler. 

Latest Update

Tyeasha’s family has not been able to see their grandson since the murder, as he moved away with the father’s family. On Tyeasha’s Go Fund Me, her mother says “the system failed to immediately remove him from an unstable environment during an active investigation of the shooter. I was told that Child Protective Services was called and would contact me the next day, but none of this ever happened. So I was forced to file a case myself with Child Protective Services.”
