Marillorky was shot and killed by her ex husband, hours after a divorce hearing where she was awarded custody. Recently before the murder, he had depleted all of her bank accounts. Marillorky filed for divorce a month before her murder due to many instances of domestic abuse. Her brother-in-law told police that her husband had made many threats to kill anyone who came into his house. She previously contacted the police about domestic violence, but was afraid of what her husband would do to her if he found out, so she did not move forward and the case was dismissed. “She was incarcerated in her own home due to this domestic violence”, said a family friend.

Marillorky leaves behind 2 children.
