Candace was suffocated and stabbed by her ex husband, who then killed himself after submerging them both in a car in the river. Candace had been in family court since 2015 trying to protect herself and her children. She was granted a restraining order in 2020 against his mother, and another in May 2023. In 2022, she was the victim of DARVO, when her Ex filed an emergency Order of Protection on behalf of her children against her. Candace leaves behind 3 young daughters.
